My mother loved and wore wigs. She would spend a lot of time in front of the mirror hiding lace wigs knots and making sure the lace matches her scalp. She would use her traditional home remedies like bleaching the wigs to hide the grids and knots.
As I grew older I too started to wear wigs and found the same issue, not just for myself but for other women as well. There were many instance my sisters and I would sit around and experiment ideas on how to make our wigs look real or at it’s best appeared natural.
I moved to the United States from South Africa for my bachelor’s degree, and realize through the many women in my close circle whom I call my friends that they were all having the same lace wigs grids
