I’m Matthew M. Watkins, author of Memphis Moon, a Civil War historical fiction novel published under High Mountain Book. The story follows sisters Virginia and Lottie Moon and their real ties to Confederate espionage in Union-occupied Memphis. Before writing, I spent six years in the U.S. Navy and over thirty years in the global plastics industry, and I spent years researching the period before writing a single chapter. Memphis Moon has earned strong reader reviews and a feature in USA Today.
