The foundation of WatchPilot was laid in 2019, following a fortunate mix-up with a parcel of watches. This error brought together Tim Harrison, a pilot with a knack for entrepreneurship, and Akbar Hussain, an e-commerce expert with extensive distribution and retail experience. Their shared enthusiasm for transforming the watch retail landscape led to the creation of WatchPilot in 2020.
Under Tim and Akbar’s stewardship, WatchPilot quickly surpassed its e-commerce targets, carving out a niche as a pioneering and customer-centric company in the watch industry. The company stood out by discarding traditional exclusivities, focusing instead on making watch shopping a pleasurable and straightforward experience. This approach attracted a wide array of over 40 watch brands, from esteemed Swiss makers to lesser-known designers, all drawn to WatchPilot's innovative ethos.
